APOP

An APOP stands for the Annual Plan of Provision (integrated directly into our school's broader Prayer and Liturgy Policy).

In our Catholic school, the APOP sets out how the school nurtures pupils' spiritual lives throughout the academic year through daily prayer, assemblies, school Masses, and special celebrations.

What Parents Need to Know

  • Dynamic & Adaptable: The APOP is designed to be a "living" document. It is updated routinely throughout the school year as new events, parish activities, or seasonal projects arise.
  • Responsive: Dates and planned activities may shift to accommodate local parish events or unexpected school calendar changes.

What You Can View in the APOP

The document maps out the liturgical rhythm of the school year, giving families a clear window into:

  • Upcoming Events: Key dates for whole-school or year-group assemblies, prayer services, and retreat days.
  • Holy Days & Feast Days: Important dates in the Church calendar (such as Advent, Lent, and Holy Days of Obligation) and how the children will mark them.
  • Masses & Services: Schedules for termly masses, reconciliation services, and year-group class liturgies.

How to Use It

Check the APOP regularly. It is published on the school website. It helps you stay connected with your child's faith life at school. It allows you to note key dates early, particularly for open-door events like family liturgies, celebration services, or special school Masses. As mentioned previously, this is a working document and changes may occur.
